Manchester United has declined the opportunity to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike on loan. However, it is unlikely that Ekitike will join Old Trafford, as the club does not anticipate any major signings before the deadline. Newcastle United, who were previously interested in Ekitike, may still be in the running to acquire him. Despite his limited appearances, Ekitike impressed during his loan spell at Reims, scoring 10 goals in 24 games. Manchester United, currently lacking in goal-scoring prowess, has only scored 24 goals in the Premier League this season. Scott McTominay is the team's top scorer with five goals, while Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and Rasmus Hojlund have a combined total of nine goals.
